TRI Air Testing Inc., an AIHA accredited laboratory, specializes in compressed air quality testing, medical gas testing, instrument and process compressed air analysis and pharmaceutical or food air quality testing. Our patented air/gas sampling equipment was designed originally for the U.S. Navy Diver's air sampling. The TRI system, used today, employs a method that lowers the pressure of both high pressure and low pressure air supplies to under 3 atmospheres absolute pressure, which in turn reduces the size and weight of the equipment and containers needed to obtain accurate samples. TRI currently holds the U.S. Navy Diver's air sampling contract.

TRI Air Testing, Inc., formally Texas Research Institute was founded in 1975 as a spin-off from the former Applied Science Division of Tracor, Inc., a diversified technology firm based in Austin. TRI Air Testing, Inc. is one of three companies organized under the company now known as Texas Research International, Inc. TRI/Environmental, Inc. and Texas Research Institute Austin, Inc. comprise the other two. Each is devoted to a specific product or market area.
